Selection Box: General help
Our new selection box option is a little complex, but once you've gone through the process it should be straight forward from then on. We really wanted to get the option live while we iron out the technical details - so watch this space for selection box options on subscription and saving login details for faster check out etc.
Selection box: Date and time error
Once you have selected your vegetables you need to click the little shopping bag on the bottom left of the screen (on mobile). This will bring up a summary, then click on 'for specific time' near the bottom of the screen. This will open a calendar which will offer delivery day and time options. This is where the current process isn't perfect as Local Food can't guarantee a specific delivery time (but it is a requirement of this website design we are using in the short term). So select any time and we will try our best to be near your preferred window, but at this stage, we only offer a delivery day, not specific times. The delivery days remain the same as usual.
Selection box: Delivery and check out
When you get to the screen that asks if you 'come here often' it currently only lets you login in with Facebook so just continue as a guest if it's easier. Or simply click the 'X'. Then enter your delivery address and please contact us if you live in the Manawatū or Wellington area but it tells you we can't deliver.
Once your address is confirmed a screen will appear with a section that says 'on arrival' - this is another requirement of the website design so choose either and standard delivery processes will remain.

Selection box: 48 hour processing time
As selection boxes take a little more time to coordinate with our producers. We require roughly 48hrs notice. Therefore if you are in the Manawatū please get your selection box order in by 12pm on Sunday for delivery on Tuesday. Then 12pm Wednesday for delivery on Friday.
Wellington customers, please get your selection box order in by 12pm Monday for delivery on Wednesday and 12pm Wednesday for delivery on Friday.
What days do you deliver?
We deliver to the Manawatū on a Tuesday and Friday.
We deliver to Wellington on a Wednesday and Friday.
Everything is packed up fresh so we work on the midnight prior to the next delivery day as a cut-off.
If I set up a subscription, what day will my food be delivered?
Manawatū customers: If you set up a subscription on Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday your order will be delivered on Tuesday's. If you set up a subscription on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday then your order will be delivered on Friday's.
Wellington customers: If you set up a subscription on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday your order will be delivered on Wednesday's. If you set up a subscription on Wednesday or Thursday then your order will be delivered on Friday's.

Do you deliver to rural addresses?
As we are still a small business, we can only currently deliver to rural addresses on the very outskirts of towns in both Manawatu and Wellington. However, our aim is to deliver local produce to as many people as possible, so please reach out to us if you would like to shop with us but live remotely and we will see what we can do. It helps if you know of neighbours or friends in the same area that would like to shop with us as well, to combine delivery efforts.
Do you plan to increase your product offering?
The short answer is YES. We want to provide a platform for a range of local producers to connect with local consumers and have access to the same distribution and convenience markets as the big supermarkets. Will you ever get self-selection vegetable boxes?
Yes! We are now live but are working on a more improved process in the background. Watch this space!
